Do you have questions about the resort?Question Do I need to bring linens?

Answer Linens, consumables (toilet paper, soap, etc.) & daily housekeeping services are included with all short term rentals (less than 1 month). Guests may want to bring their own beach towels for use at the pools.

 

Question Do I need my car?

Answer Most amenities are within walking distance to the resort however, the golf courses are located approx. 1.5 miles from the main complex.

 

Question Should I make advance reservations for dinner or a spa treatment?

Answer Though recommended, dining reservations are not required. To make dining reservations call 800-248-2222 and ask for the hostess station at the Walden Restaurant.  Please make an appointment for a spa treatment in advance, call 800-248-2222 ext. 3118.

 

Question What is the dress code for the dining room and golf course?

Answer Resort casual is the norm in most areas. Swimsuits are not permitted in the dining room, pub or on the golf courses. Men must wear collared shirts on the golf courses. Jeans, tank tops, cut offs and short shorts are not permitted on the golf courses. The Woods is a non-metal spike facility.

Question How rustic are the accommodations?

Answer All accommodations include color TV with cable, telephones, air conditioning and private baths. Evergreen and Walden Lodge rooms have whirlpool tubs and small refrigerators. Evergreen rooms have vaulted ceilings, ceiling fans and fireplaces. Room service and bell service are not available. Guests may order take-out meals from the restaurant. Equipped kitchen facilities (pots, pans, silverware, coffee pots, etc.) are included in Pinecrest Cottages, Meadow Cottages and private homes.

 

Question What should I bring with me?

Answer Depending on your interests you should bring: swimsuits, beach towels, tennis & racquetball racquets and balls, sturdy shoes or hiking boots, bicycles, fishing poles and golf clubs (limited rental clubs and other sporting equipment are available for your use). You may want to bring a flashlight for evening strolls.

 

Question Can I bring my pet?

Answer Unfortunately, pets are not permitted.

 

Question Do I need to get a fishing license?

Answer The Woods' ponds are stocked with Bluegills, Bass and Catfish. You do not need a license to fish on Resort property (it is a catch and release policy). However, you will need a license to fish anywhere off the property. Our staff can assist you with locating a local retail location for obtaining fishing licenses.

Question Is there a minimum stay?

Answer Only on holiday weekends.  For holidays there is a two night minimum stay.

 

Question Is a Deposit required?

Answer Yes, a deposit equivalent to one night's stay is due at time of reservation.

 

Question Can I get a refund if I cancel?

Answer Yes. A full refund will be granted up to 48 hours prior to your stay. Refunds within 48 hours of your stay will not be granted.

 

Question Are there facilities and activities for children?

Answer Yes, we have portacribs, booster seats and a children's menu. Additionally, there are baby pools, a playground and special programs are available from time to time (see special activities).

 

Question Do you have a gift shop?

Answer Yes, a small gift shop is located in the main lodge. A larger selection of clothing and Woods merchandise is also available at the pro shop and the Sleepy Creek Spa.

 

Question How early can I make tee times?

Answer Resort guests may make tee times when making lodging reservation. The general public may secure tee times up to 7 days in advance by calling the Pro Shop directly at 304-754-7222.
